About Me

Current Position
I am a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Applied Statistics & Risk Unit, working with Dr Martine Barons, in the Department of Statistics at the University of Warwick. As part of the AS&RU, I provide statistical expertise for decision-making and uncertainty handling to academic, industry, government, and non-government partners.
My university webpage can be found here.

Education
I completed my PhD under the supervision of Prof Jim Q. Smith in the Mathematics for Real-World Systems CDT at the University of Warwick in May 2021. From January - June 2020, I was an Enrichment Student at the Alan Turing Institute in London. My PhD research focused on the development of dynamic graphical models, customised to applications in public health and policing.

Research

I am interested in applications (and development of theory that leads to applications) of mathematical and statistical modelling to alleviate problems and improve conditions for all living beings. This includes the domains of public health, environment, and social policy.

Methodologically, my research interests include:

  • Probabilistic graphical models
  • Analysis of missingness
  • Mixture models
  • Hierarchical models
  • Development of model selection and inference algorithms
